Resident Creswell – Safer Neighbourhood Team Update New Local Priorities – Issued 01 March 2026 Your Creswell Safer Neighbourhood Team has set the following priorities in response to recent community concerns: 1. Off‑road bikes around Model VillageAction being taken: High‑visibility patrols during peak times to deter nuisance riding.Working closely with the community and partner agencies to identify offenders.Riders identified may receive Section 59 warnings or have their bikes seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.Public nuisance prosecutions will be considered where individuals are identified.2. Illegal parking around schoolsAction being taken: High‑visibility patrols at key times near local schools.Working alongside partner agencies to identify and deal with offending drivers.Engaging with the community through Derbyshire Talking, Street Meets, and conversations with parents and residents.3. Drug‑related offencesAction being taken: A mix of high‑visibility and plain‑clothed patrols to identify those involved in drug activity.Stop searches will be carried out where proportionate and lawful.Gathering evidence and community insight through Street Surgeries and Derbyshire Talking.Your local officers are committed to tackling the issues most important to you.
